• Where is my video? The current take and completed pitch replay are local on your phone. A completed pitch remains in the app for up to 90 days unless you delete it sooner. Save original copies that local file directly to Photos. Share with score creates a branded copy on the phone. The app uploads temporary extracted audio for Gemini analysis and, while On camera notes is on, a small reduced copy of the pitch video that Gemini reads once for camera notes and that is deleted afterwards; answer video is not uploaded. Full pitch-video Cloud backup is a separate Account option that is off by default. If enabled, that copy expires from Cloudflare after 90 days and is never AI input. Older installed beta builds may still use their previously disclosed storage contract.
• The analysis failed. Sharkproofed automatically retries a temporary final-judgment failure without uploading the recording again or rerunning the audio analysis. You can close the app and come back while that text-only step finishes. If the server still reports a terminal failure, your recording remains on your phone and the temporary checkpoint has been deleted. Use the error screen to discard the failed server run before recording again. If you are offline, you can still leave; the app finishes deleting the failed run the next time it is online. • Why did I get this score? Score v5 has five visible rows: 30 points for audible pitch delivery, 40 for audible delivery under pressure, and 10 each for clarity, proof and the ask. Each row cites evidence, shows what it contributed, and the largest weighted gap becomes the one thing to train next. If required audio is not reliable enough, the app leaves the score unscored instead of inventing precision. Poor light or framing never lowers or withholds a score.
• What is Ask the Coach? When available for an eligible score-v5 result, it lets you ask exactly one follow-up about the priority already shown. Choose “Why this first?”, choose a 30-second drill, or type one question of up to 240 characters. The answer must stay on that priority and use evidence already attached to the run. It is not a general chat. The written question and answer stay with the result until Delete everything. Keyboard dictation is handled by your phone; Sharkproofed sends only the resulting text.
• What is Live Coach? When available for an eligible score-v5 result, Live Coach is one optional 90-second voice drill about the single priority already shown. It is not an open-ended chat. Before the microphone starts, the app explains that your voice and the bounded priority are sent to ElevenLabs. ElevenLabs does not store call audio after streaming and may retain its transcript for up to 30 days. Your latest attempt and Coach feedback appear in a recap until you leave the screen. Sharkproofed does not save the live audio or transcript, only the provider conversation reference and whether the drill connected and ended. Leaving the screen or putting the app in the background ends the call. Delete everything also requests deletion of the provider conversation. Choose a focus to carry it into your next full drill; the app remembers which saved run it came from until you start fresh or delete everything.
• Does Sharkproofed score body language? No. The camera creates realistic pressure and gives you Tape Scan and replay. Your score uses your words and audible delivery only. While On camera notes is on, the verdict adds up to four separate, unscored notes about what the camera showed at exact moments: eye line, posture, hands and visible facial movement, each with one thing to try next take. Nothing reads emotion, confidence or honesty into your face or body, and you can turn the notes off in Account.
• How do I delete my data? Open Your progress → Account. Your recordings lists pitch videos available locally or in cloud backup. Delete them one at a time or all at once while scores and progress stay. Turning Cloud backup off deletes cloud copies but leaves local videos until their normal expiry. Delete my account data removes the local library, locks the old anonymous history, moves the app to a fresh ID and starts final server cleanup. See the privacy policy for details.
• What diagnostics leave the app? Sentry receives bounded error codes and a 10% sample of four technical stage timings in beta and Store builds. It never receives your video, transcript, verdict, Coach question, Coach answer, display name, session ID, storage key or signed upload URL, and screen recording is disabled.
• What will Sharkproofed cost? TestFlight is free and cannot create a purchase. After the beta, the first pitch and first retry are planned to be free. The proposed paid passes are Pitch Week at $19 for 7 days and up to 20 analyzed pitches, and Funding Round at $99 for 3 months and up to 100 analyzed pitches. Neither renews automatically and there is no auto-converting free trial. The app will show Apple's localized price and the pass period before purchase. A pitch counts when its personalized questions are delivered; failed uploads or analyses do not use a free drill or paid analysis.
• When does the app launch? It is in final testing. Join the list on the front page and you will know first.
